Holding It Down on the Low End

Thursday, May 14th, 2009

The band has a new addition to the lineup, Dean Howard on bass guitar. Dean was able to connect with the band because of his friendship with Keith, the keyboard player. Dean and Keith played together in a few groups in years past. Dean has been with us for about two months now and has already jumped in head first and made an impression. His quick learning and killer bass licks have made him a force to be reckoned with. Not only did he push hard to learn the songs in record time, he has already gotten studio time for the new CD with our producer, Mark Padgett of Mae fame and Earthsound Studios. Make sure to say hello to Dean when you see him at the next show.

flyer-small.jpg As most of you may have heard or seen, the Joe Gosman Band is playing the main stage at this year’s Chesapeake Jubilee. It will be on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 6 PM. We will be opening for the Smithereens, the popular 80’s rock band from New Jersey. This is a big honor for us to not only play with them but to play on the main stage at the Jubilee as well.

If you would like a poster or flyers to help us advertise, please let us know at We can send you the graphic or get you hard copies of the posters and flyers.

To celebrate this momentous show, we will also have new shirts for sale with the new band logo! Hope to see you all there.

Present Day Joe Gosman Band

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009

People are cleaning up their grills and inviting friends and family over. Kids are riding bikes to the creeks and building castles in their neighborhoods. Summer and fireworks are in the air. School is almost out, and so are the bathing suits. Life is all around us. It is in everything. We are all connected. We are not creatures of solitude but of community. The Joe Gosman Band is about bringing the community together.
